First-year undergraduate award renewal

2024-25 first-year undergraduate award renewal criteria

These requirements apply to all students receiving their first award during the 2024-25 academic year. Along with these requirements, a student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 undergraduate WSU credits for both the fall and winter semesters.

Up to the full cost of tuition and standard fees (matriculation, registration, and student service). This subtracts federal, state, and other university-based aid and can cover up to four consecutive years. 

Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards
  • Attend full-time each fall and winter semester
  • File an updated FAFSA every year 
  • Pass at least 30 credits per academic year

Heart of Detroit Tuition Pledge

Up to the full cost of tuition and standard fees (matriculation, registration, and student service) at the in-state rate. This subtracts federal, state, and other university-based aid and can cover up to four consecutive years. 

Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards
  • Attend full-time each fall and winter semester
  • File an updated FAFSA every year 
  • Pass at least 30 credits per academic year

Born to Be a Warrior Tuition Pledge
