MiTransfer Pathways - Social Work
Students following the MiTransfer Social Work Pathway can seamlessly transition to the Wayne State University Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). The BSW program prepares undergraduate students for ethical, competent, entry-level, generalist professional social work practice with diverse, poor, vulnerable, and oppressed individuals, families, groups, and communities.

Students following the social work pathway are also encouraged to complete the equivalent to PS 1010 American Government. Additional transfer course options can be found within our community college transfer plans.

Informational sessions
Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend an informational session prior to applying to the Wayne State University BSW Program. At the meeting, we will cover in detail the BSW program, careers, concentrations, application process, curriculum and so much more. Please bring an unofficial copy of your student transcripts to the meeting.
Prospective students are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible, as admissions will close once program capacity has been reached. The BSW application deadline has been EXTENDED to June 1. Learn more about the BSW application process
