Transfer plans

Transfer plans list specific community college courses that count toward your program (major) at Wayne State University.

Transfer plans are flexible and often do not consider associate degree or general education requirements. In contrast, Transfer Pathways provide a clear, customizable path, including specific courses and associate and bachelor’s degree requirements. They provide guarantees for admission and transfer credits when followed correctly. Articulation agreements are formal agreements between institutions that ensure credit transferability for specific programs.

There is no limit to the number of classes you may transfer from your community college to Wayne State. Wayne State strongly recommends that you fulfill your general education requirements through the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). If you do not have an MTA endorsement, you can transfer individual courses to satisfy specific Wayne State University General Education requirements.  Course equivalents can be found in the Michigan Community College General Education Tables.
