Occupational Therapy programs are looking for well-versed applicants who understand the field and work of an occupational therapist.  Many programs require hours of observation or shadowing of OT's to demonstrate applicants have confirmed their interest and desire to pursue the program. Pre-OT students should plan to obtain hours outside the university exploring opportunities to work and engage in activities related to healthcare and occupational therapy.

Two requirements in regard to OT observation hours:

  • OT observation hours form must be completed by OTR only
  • Minimum of 20 hours completed in the last two years.
