Programming
The PMHSC currently offers regular Essentials Meetings for Pre-Med, Pre-Dental, Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Nursing, and Pre-Health Science students. In addition, workshops on various topics are offered during the fall and winter semesters. Dates, times, descriptions and an RSVP link for both the Essential sessions and workshops can be found in the menu to the right. Students hoping to learn more about applying to the WSU College of Nursing or one of the programs housed in the WSU College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences can follow the appropriate links in the menu as well.
PMHSC also hosts school visits and other Special Events throughout the fall and winter semesters. Please be sure to RSVP to gain access to the Zoom information needed for the event. PMHSC events are intended for current WSU students only.

University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry Info Session - Wednesday, October 4 at 7pm on ZOOM
- Join Dr. Chang, Director of Admissions, to learn about what the dental program at UDM has to offer. He will discuss admissions standards, the application process and interview day.
University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Meet & Greet - Friday, October 6 from 10am-2pm in the UAC
- Join admissions counselor Priscilla Gonzalez- Ortiz for an informal meet & greet for students interested in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. They are also recruiting for a brand new PA program. With campuses in California, Florida and Texas, this could be the school for you!
New England College of Optometry Info Session - Wednesday, October 11 at 4pm on ZOOM
- Join the Assistant Director from NECO to learn more about their program and admissions requirements.
Midwestern University (Chicago) College of Optometry Info Session - Monday, October 23 at 4pm on ZOOM
- Members of the admissions team will be present to share more information about the admissions requirements and optometry program at Midwestern. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions.
CST Post Bacc Pre-Health Program Information Session with Temple University Info Session - Thursdsay, October 26 at 2pm on ZOOM
- Dr. Robert-Andrew F. Rarig from Temple University will be presenting to Wayne students interested regarding the Temple University Post Baccalaureate Pre-Dental program. Pre-Dental students that are interested in attending a Post Bacc program prior to applying to dental school should attend a session.
Boston University MS in Oral Health Sciences Info Session - Tuesday, November 7 at 2pm on ZOOM
- Join Doug and a representative from BU's MS in Oral Health Sciences program to learn more about the degree. It is commonly used by pre-dental students who want to academically enhance their dental school application with relevant coursework.
The Ohio State University College of Optometry Info Session - Wednesday, November 8 at 4pm in the UAC Computer Lab
- An admissions counselor for the OSUCO will be present to share information about admissions requirements and the program. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions.
University of Pikeville (KY) College of Optometry Info Session - Thursday, November 9 at 4pm in the ASC COMMONS
- This in-person event offers students the opportunity to directly interact with the Assistant Director of Admissions for Pikeville's Optometry program. Students will hear a short presentation, followed by a Q&A.
Carle Illinois Medical School Info Session - Wednesday, November 14 at noon on ZOOM
- Carle Illinois Medical School is the world's first engineering based medical school. Join this session to learn about Carle's distinctive admissions process and curriculum.
University of Michigan's Master's in Oral Health Information Session - Wednesday, November 29 at 2pm on ZOOM
- The Oral Health Master's Program is designed for pre-dental students who want to academically enhance their dental school application before applying. This session will review the program and its admissions requirements.
Berkeley Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry & Vision Science - Tuesday, December 5 at 4pm on ZOOM
- The Assistant Director of Admissions will explain the admissions requirements and program specifics for attendees. Time will be allotted for Q & A at the end.
