Review transfer eligibilityBefore applying to Wayne State, please confirm that you meet the following requirements:
- You must have at least 24 transferable credits of previous college work and a minimum 2.5 combined, cumulative GPA from all higher education institutions you have attended.
- If you have completed an associate degree, you may be admitted with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- If you plan to apply to a professional program such as nursing, social work, or pharmacy and health sciences, contact these programs individually for additional requirements.

Apply to Wayne State UniversityUse the university application and submit the $25 application fee.

Detroit, MI 48202You may also be able to submit your official transcripts online. If you plan to major in music, theatre or dance, be sure to schedule an audition with the department.
Application deadlines
Submit all application materials by the appropriate date, depending on the semester in which you plan to start classes:
- Fall — Aug. 15
- Winter — Dec. 1
- Spring/summer — April 1
You should receive an admission decision within two to three weeks after submitting your application or any outstanding materials. You can also track your own admission status online.
