The University Advising Center is pleased to offer a variety of workshops aimed at the development of student success. Please see below for descriptions and links to workshops offered during the current semester.
The University Advising Center's Pre-law advisor offers workshops on writing the personal statement which is a part of the law school admission process. The purpose of the workshop is to teach how to write an effective personal statement. The workshop will cover the purpose of the personal statement, the crafting and development of a central idea, and the construction of an outline to help with focus, coherence, and flow. The workshop will feature one or two scenarios, sample essays used to illustrate the principles of good writing.
To RSVP for a workshop, please send your request to Arnelle Douglas.
