Commencement marks the culmination of your college experience and celebrates the beginning of a promising future.
Be sure to follow all degree application deadlines and make sure you apply for the semester in which you will be completing your degree requirements. Participating in the Commencement ceremony does not constitute graduation or indicate that you have successfully completed your degree requirements. Check with your academic advisor to be certain all degree requirements have been completed.
The December 2017 Commencement ceremonies are for those students who completed their degree requirements in the spring/summer semester and did not participate in the May 2017 Commencement ceremonies and for those students who will complete their degree requirements in the fall 2017 (December) semester and meet degree application deadlines.
The May 2018 Commencement ceremonies are for those students who will complete their degree requirements in the winter 2018 (May) semester and for students who will complete their degree requirements in the spring/summer 2018 semester and meet degree application deadlines.
Spring/summer Ph.D. candidates are not eligible to participate in the May Commencement ceremonies.
All Ph.D./Ed.D. candidates must check with their advisor and/or dean's office in the Graduate School or the College of Education for the exact requirements they must complete to participate in the ceremonies.
