Ceremonies
Wayne State University confers degrees for fall, winter and spring/summer terms and honors its graduates by hosting commencement ceremonies in December and May. All ceremonies will take place in the Wayne State University Fieldhouse and will last approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours. Ceremonies are for students completing the following degrees: Ph.D., Ed.D., doctoral, master's and bachelor's.
All Ph.D./Ed.D. candidates will participate in their respective school or college ceremony. Candidates must check with their advisor and/or dean's office in the Graduate School or the College of Education for the exact requirements that must be completed to participate in commencement ceremonies.

Ceremony I — 9 a.m.

Ceremony II — 2 p.m.
- College of Education
- College of Engineering
- School of Information Sciences
- School of Medicine
- Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
Ceremony III — 7 p.m.
- Mike Ilitch School of Business
- School of Social Work
- College of Nursing
