Frequently asked questions
Are reservations required to participate in WSU to You: Explore STEM?
Reservations are required to receive a box of supplementary materials. However, those who are unable to register are still invited to visit our website the week of March 14 and use the available web content for their classrooms.
Is this free?
WSU to You: Explore STEM is a free initiative in 2022. Our goal is to showcase a variety of pathways that middle school students can consider as part of their future.
What activities are available, and how do I make plans for my students?
We have worked to provide a variety of options for teachers to choose from as they customize their curriculum. Our website features printable lesson plans, STEM trivia and games, an online scavenger hunt, WSU's virtual tour, and more. You are welcome to spend one day with our content, or please feel free to select different things to use throughout the week.
What is included in the WSU to You box?
Area schools that are registered for WSU to You: Explore STEM will have materials delivered by a Wayne State University staff member Wednesday, March 9. Each box includes a variety of printed materials, including an activity sheet, a high school preparation piece and WSU goodies.
