Timetable

The delay of the 2024-25 FAFSA has affected the ability to determine need levels for scholarships with financial need criteria. We anticipate we will have need levels available in WSU ScholarshipUniverse in late March 2024. This change affects the 2024-25 award cycle only and we expect the timeline to return to normal for 2025-26 awarding.

October

Admission award offers begin for the coming academic year.

December

December 1 - The WSU Private Scholarship Application is open for the coming year.
The Financial Aid Office will begin packaging new first-year undergraduate students for the coming academic year.

January

Winter semester scholarship funds are applied to student tuition accounts by the WSU Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) in early January.

February

The award year will be flipped to include the coming academic year and will facilitate the search for continuing students as potential scholarship recipients. The award year includes the fall, winter and spring/summer semesters

March

March 1 - all new first-year undergraduate awards for the coming academic year should be submitted to the financial aid office before this date.
March 1 - The WSU Private Scholarship Application deadline for students.
- 2024-25 applications will close on April 30, 2024.

April

April 1 - All spring-summer scholarship awards should be submitted to the financial aid office before this date.

May

May 1 - Undergraduate Decision Deadline
May 1 - All fall scholarship awards should be submitted to the financial aid office before this date.
- 2024-25 scholarship decisions must be completed and approved by June 1, 2024.
The Financial Aid Office will begin packaging continuing students for the coming academic year.
Spring/summer semester scholarship funds are applied to student tuition accounts by the Office of Student Financial Aid in early May.

August

Fall semester scholarship funds are applied to student tuition accounts by the WSU Office of Student Financial Aid in late August.
