Theresa Ramirez-Zipser is a Program Management Specialist for Student Success in the division of Academic Student Affairs. In this role, she supports the mission and goals of the office of Student Success as part of the central operations team. Theresa started her career at Wayne State in 2020 as the STEM Engagement Coordinator focused on enriching the K12 pipeline of future warriors, where she strengthened Wayne State's commitment to creating STEM immersion opportunities for historically marginalized communities.
Theresa started her professional experience as a Program Manager with a portfolio of after-school tutoring programs spanning from Gary, Indiana to Chicago Public Schools. She then spent six years managing the Hispanic Initiative for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Michigan, where she helped expand Latinx membership in the region.
As a proud graduate of Detroit Public Schools, an alumna of Wayne State and Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies, and current MBA candidate at the Mike Ilitch School of Business, Theresa is passionate about leveraging her individual experience in pursuit of supporting students' academic success and excellence.
