Music: General Lectures and Concerts
The General Lectures & Concerts LC will utilize peer mentors, study groups, social events, guest lectures, guest performances, student performances, as well as field trips to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and other, similar venues. This course is intended to increase your exposure to a wide range of musical literatures, styles, and performing ensembles, and to recent scholarly research and creative work in our field. It is designed to provide you with an opportunity to develop critical listening skills, and to better understand the audience’s perspective—the same audience you will be interacting with as performers, creators, and educators. This LC will be linked to all MUP courses (MUP XXXX)
