Social Work Peer Support
Social Work Peer Support (SWPS) Learning Community connects social work students with peer mentors in their academic program (BSW and MSW). The SWPS LC builds community among social work students through individual meetings and monthly events where they can discuss their experiences in school and Field. This LC creates opportunities for students to support other students as well as build a stronger student community within the School of Social Work. By helping one another to build coping skills and resilience, students will achieve better balance in their educational and professional development. SWPS LC creates communication and collaboration between students and WSU School of Social Work as well as the larger campus community.
