Scholarships for law students

Wayne Law offers a variety of scholarships based on a combination of criteria.

Incoming students

Incoming J.D. students are automatically considered for merit and other scholarships once they file the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). These scholarships are awarded by the Law School's Scholarship Office.

International JD and LLM students should contact the Law School's Scholarship Office for information about applying for scholarships and awards. The Law School Scholarship Office can be reached at or 313-577-3996.

If an award requires that you demonstrate financial need, you must have an annual FAFSA on file for the award year. For example, if you are applying for awards for the 2023-24 academic year, you will need to complete and submit the 2023-24 FAFSA. Use the WSU school code 002329 when you file.
