Financial Responsibility Agreement FAQ

What is the Financial Responsibility Agreement?
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of the financial responsibilities and obligations associated with attending Wayne State University. All students must read and accept WSU's Financial Responsibility Agreement, which will be presented in student-self-service when registering for courses each semester.

Why is WSU requiring the statement?
The Financial Responsibility Agreement provides relevant information about WSU's official institutional policies, provides important consumer information about electronic billing, holds, late fees, etc. and affirms a student's understanding of financial obligations to WSU.

How often must a student accept the statement?
It will be presented each semester a student registers.

Do other institutions do this?
Yes. It is common practice among higher education institutions across the United States

My parents pay my tuition. Can they accept the statement?
No. While payment made by a third party is acceptable, it is the enrolled student who is ultimately responsible for agreeing to the terms and conditions of the Financial Responsibility Agreement.
