Tuoanyene Sims
Biography
Tuoanyene Natt-Sims is a proud graduate of Cass Technical High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University. She also holds a Master of Arts in Employment and Labor Relations from Wayne State University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan.
She has served students in various capacities for over 20 years and is passionate about seeing students develop and succeed. She enjoys teaching, motivating, and encouraging students to realize and reach their fullest potential. Symbiotically, she also enjoys learning and growing from what students teach her. The most rewarding aspect of her work and what keeps her engaged with and connected to academia is seeing students live out the goals they aspire to achieve. She believes we can soar to our greatest height when we identify and focus on our strengths.
