Biography:

Dr. Alaina De Biasi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Wayne State University. Her research interests include understanding the causes and consequences of firearm violence, leveraging law enforcement data systems to advance crime gun intelligence, evaluating the effectiveness of violence prevention initiatives, conducting community-engaged research, and exploring the geography of crime. Through her work, she seeks to develop new and better policies and practices aimed at violence prevention.
