Instructional Training Grant Project Manager and Project Director/PI C2 Pipeline Program
325.1 Cohn
By Appointment
As the Instructional Training Grant Manager, in conjunction with the Principal Investigators, provide leadership in the planning, direction, and coordination of the non-research federal and state projects in order to improve the instructional and training grant activities and increase external funding in the College of Nursing. I both write and assist with grant submissions and applications to support organization programs. In addition I prepare reports to agencies, as well as prepare and verify proposal budgets and language for completeness and general conformance with University and agency guidelines.
As the Project Director/PI for the C2 Pipeline Program, I have developed and funded a program that serves 24 tri-county high schools on a yearly basis. I manage this out of school time program that facilitates collaboration and inspires and empowers students to prepare for college and academic success through immersive explorations of STEM fields in health that give them the technical skills and knowledge they need to engage in real-life argument, reasoning, problem solving, planning and collaboration. This program collaborates with College of Nursing, School of Medicine, School of Social Work, Eugene Applebaum Collge of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, College of Engineering, Mike Illitch School of Business, Irvin D Reid Honors College and the Department of Kinesiology. The program operates during the school year as well as during the summer offering four weeks of day camps and a residential camp on Wayne State's campus.
