Title: Academic Services Officer II
Biography:

Jones joined Wayne States School of Social Work as an Academic Services Officer II in September 2018. He has been with the university since 2015. He received his M.S.W from California State University, Dominguez Hills with an emphasis on Children, Youth and Families in May of 2011. Jones volunteers with various other colleges at the university as well as around the city for the Parade Company, Detroit Conservancy, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk, just to name a few. He is very involved in many community efforts, volunteering and fundraising in and around Detroit. Jones is currently in the Gerontology Graduate Certificate program (completing May 2019) and exploring options to work on his PhD.

Responsibilities:

Jones Provides academic advising to B.S.W. students at the main campus, University Center at Macomb, Schoolcraft Center and for the online social work program. His responsibilities include scheduling, plans of work and degree certification. In addition, Mr. Jones provides oversight to student support services including the Student Success Program.
