Jule Wallis-Thomas has been at WSU since 2009. Her greatest professional joy is teaching, mentoring students and transferring knowledge to practical applications inside and outside of the classroom. Her courses focus on discipline specific writing, specifically for nursing and pre-med students and typically teaches ENG 1020, ENG 3010, ENG 3020, and ENG 5785. Her classes and work often integrate community learning and/or service learning with local organizations and non-profits in Detroit. Jule has three sons: Gavin, Spencer, and Felix. Jule's best friend and partner in life is her husband Michael. Her friends who have, over the years, become family and keep her sane. Jule's personal interests are running, gardening and camping.
