Biography:

Dr. Rayman Mohamed has a varied research background. He has researched topics as varied as conservation subdivisions, brownfields redevelopment, behavioral psychology in planning, climate change in China and transportation safety. His current research centers on intersections between urban planning, transportation and health.

He served for many years as the track chair and co-track chair of the Land Use track at the annual conference of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning. He was national conference chair for the conference between 2013 and 2017.

Dr. Mohamed is PI or co-PI on over $3.4M in grants, including a recently announced NSF training grant for $2.9M on which he is a co-PI.
