Narrative Bio:

I have been a faculty member since 2007. My main area of interest is diabetes and my research focuses on insulin resistance. Currently, I have two NIH-funded collaborative major research projects. We are one of the few centers in the country that can conduct insulin clamp studies and perform fat as well as muscle biopsies. Interest fellows are welcome to join my study team. We will give you all the necessary training to reach your research goals. Our program offers a rich training experience with complex diabetes patients. I am confident that after completing our program you will have gained the expertise needed to expertly manage complex diabetes patients using the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
