Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences
Ralph E. Williams II, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences. Dr. Williams also oversees the Year III Continuity Clinic Clerkship (CCC) as the Continuity Clinic Clerkship Director and serves as the medical director of the Robert R. Frank Student Run Free Clinic (SRFC).
CCC is a core component of the third year medical school experience, highlighting the significance of ambulatory primary care in the ever-changing landscape of our healthcare system. Over a six-month period, students are granted the opportunity to serve with community physicians in the context of longitudinal outpatient care. This rotation helps WSU students become well equipped to lead the way to producing healthier families and communities. SRFC was launched in 2010 by the WSU School of Medicine class of 2012 and is the first of its kind in the state of Michigan. The Clinic maintains a firm commitment to serving Detroit’s uninsured and underserved population.
