Deirdre Turner, CMP, DES, is the Coordinator of Student Organization Programs and Events. She advises the Student Activities Funding Board which allocates funding for student organization events, activities, and programs. Additionally, Deirdre is the lead coordinator of the annual FestiFall, WinterFest and SpringFest. She also represents the Dean of Students Office at all transfer and new student orientations. Before joining DOSO, Deirdre worked for WSU Special Events office coordinating numerous events including Presidential Tailgates, Commencement Guest Services, and President’s Previews, to name a few.
Deirdre has a B.A. in English and French from Alma College, an M.A. in English from the University of Detroit-Mercy and has completed doctoral studies at WSU. A Certified Meeting Professional, she also holds certification as a Digital Event Strategist from the Professional Convention Management Association.
