Title: Academic Services Officer IV, Part-time Faculty for Kinesiology, Health & Sport Studies
Biography:

Ms. Fawne Allossery has worked as an Academic Services Officer (ASO) for Wayne State University in the College of Education, Division of Academic Services since 2006 and was awarded ESS in 2011 and promoted from ASO II to ASO III in 2015, and to ASO IV in 2020.

In this position, Ms. Allossery serves as the primary advisor for approximately 300 registered students. Ms. Allossery is also the degree auditor for all bachelor’s degree students in the College of Education, coordinates the Departmental Honors and Accelerated Graduate Enrollment (AGRADE) programs, and oversees Senior Rule admission in the College of Education. She is also a Part-Time Faculty member within the Division of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Studies and has taught several upper-division and graduate-level courses within the Community Health and Exercise and Sport Science programs.

Ms. Allossery has served on various university, college, and division committees, including Academic Staff Promotion and Tenure, Selective Salary, Curriculum, Assessment, Elections, College Review, TeachDETROIT Planning Committee, Office of Clinical Experiences Advisory Board, Diversity (Social Justice) Committee, among others. Ms. Allossery assists with a variety of campus-wide initiatives, including but not limited to New Student and Transfer Orientations, Commencement, Open Houses, Scholar’s Day and other Honors College events, Counselor Update meetings. Ms. Allossery also coordinated the Pathways Learning Community for two years, securing over $15,000 in grant funding.

Ms. Allossery also teaches as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Wellness, Health, and Exercise Science Department at Macomb Community College for over 20 years. Ms. Allossery served as Macomb’s Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Sports Information Coordinator for six years (2001-07), and the Head Volleyball Coach for two seasons (2003-04).
