Gen Ed Teaching Award Winners 2024-2025

The General Education Teaching Award recognizes instructors at all levels who have demonstrated excellence. This year’s recipients are:

• Navid Farnia, Assistant Professor, Department of African American Studies, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
• Sharin Montazer, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
• Tareq Ramadan, Adjunct Faculty, Department of Anthropology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

The winners were selected by the General Education Oversight Committee (GEOC) based on evidence of reflective teaching as linked to the university's core values.
