DEI Council

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council was established as a recommendation from the completed report. Led by Associate Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer Marquita T. Chamblee, the council was formed to develop policies, procedures and practices that bring about equitable outcomes for everyone. In spring 2021, deans and division leaders were invited to nominate individuals to serve on the DEI Council, with meetings beginning in August 2021. The council continues to meet on a monthly basis.

Additionally, within the council, five working groups meet biweekly to focus on topics such as metrics and evaluation, DEI strategic planning, hiring and retention of diverse employees, student equity, and communications.
