We understand that college is an expensive investment, and we want to help you make the most of the academic credit you have already earned as you transfer to Wayne State. That's why we signed the Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO) Transfer Agreement. The MACRAO Transfer Agreement contains information about our program for students with an associate degree, or for students with a MACRAO completion stamp from a Michigan community college.
Once you have received the MACRAO certification on your Michigan community college transcript or earned an associate of arts, associate of liberal arts, associate of science or associate of baccalaureate studies degree from a Michigan community college, your Wayne State General Education requirements will be satisfied. This could fulfill many course requirements at Wayne State, and save you both time and money as you work toward your bachelor's.
After you start classes at WSU, you can earn your MACRAO certification or associate degree through the reverse transfer program, or on your own. Once your certification or degree is posted, you can have an official transcript sent to update your record.
We recommend that you speak with your community college adviser about MACRAO certification and review our transfer plans. This way, you will have maximized your time at community college when you apply to transfer to Wayne State.
