Registration and Continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m. in the Student Center Building. This year, we'll take a special behind-the-scenes tour of the new Mike Ilitch School of Business, in the District Detroit, before it even opens to students! The event will end at 3 p.m.

What should I wear?

It's Friday - be casual! Jeans, khakis and warm jackets are welcome. Show your pride by wearing spirit gear with your school's name! The Ilitch School tour is an active construction site, so high-heeled and open-toed shoes are not permitted.

Can I avoid Midtown traffic by catching a free bus from a WSU satellite center?

Yes! Buses will be available from our Schoolcraft Center in Livonia and our Advanced Technology Education Center in Warren (across from Macomb Community College's South Campus on 12 Mile Road). You can park there and ride the bus. It's all free!

To reserve your seat on a bus, check the box on the RSVP form.

Where do I park if I'm not taking a bus?

In Structure 1, on W. Palmer Avenue on the Wayne State campus. This is a different structure than previous years, so please note the new location and review the map link. If you have difficulty entering or exiting, call the Parking Hotline at 313-577-1979 for assistance.

Parking in Structure 1 will be free for Transitions guests, which is why it is imperative that you park there. If you choose to park elsewhere, we are not able to reimburse you.

I still have questions. Who do I contact?

Doug Freed, director of the Transfer Student Success Center, at 313-577-0149 or

We look forward to seeing you!
