Incoming transfer application process
Are you ready to be a Warrior? We make it easy to transfer your credits, stay on your desired degree path, and feel like a Warrior in no time. Before you begin your admissions application, we encourage you to follow the steps below.
We also recommend considering the following:
- Schedule a transfer success appointment.
- Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov for financial aid considerations.
- Review additional department and private scholarship opportunities. Your application for admission will be used for community college merit scholarships.

Join the Wayne Transfer Experience
If you plan to transfer to Wayne State University from a Michigan community college in one or two years, you should consider the Wayne Transfer Experience. Check the link below to see if your community college is a Wayne Transfer Experience partner.Step 4
Complete your Application
A completed application includes application fee ($25) and official college transcript(s) from every institution you have previously attended. Any additional requirements will be communicated to you from the Office of Admissions.
*If you have attended a foreign institution or are an international student, you may be required to submit additional proof of English proficiency and/or additional documentation.Step 5
Connect with the Transfer Student Success Center (TSSC)
The TSSC is here to support you before, during and after your admission. We can provide pre-admission recommendations, check your admission, or provide support as you begin at Wayne State. If convenient, you can track your own admission status.
