Wayne State University Board of Governors to meet Friday, Oct. 6

The Wayne State University Board of Governors will hold its next regular meeting on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, in The Garage Conference Room at TechTown, 440 Burroughs Street, Detroit. The Board of Governors standing committee meetings convene at 10 a.m. and are open to the public. The board’s standing committee meetings begin with the Academic Affairs Committee at 10 a.m., Budget and Finance Committee at 10:30 a.m., and Personnel Committee at 11 a.m. Following a break, the board returns for a public session at 3 p.m.

Wayne State University’s Board of Governors is one of three university governing bodies in Michigan (including the University of Michigan and Michigan State University) that has constitutional independence. Its members, who serve eight-year terms, are elected by voters throughout Michigan.
