August 24, 2010

The New Economy Initiative for Southeast Michigan announced a business plan competition yesterday --the largest of its kind -- which will award $1 million in prizes for the best and brightest business plan ideas. The Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition targets early stage businesses with proven technology and potential to generate an immediate impact on Michigan's economy, as well as student concepts with longer-term business viability. The University Research Corridor, comprised of Wayne State University, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, have agreed to promote the competition within their student populations.
