Global Studies

The Global Studies Learning Community is for all Global Studies students, but it is especially designed for those in Global Studies Core Courses. Through participation in weekly hangouts, writing, study, and review sessions, outings, and career events, members of the learning community will deepen their understanding of global issues and institutions, work with other students and peer mentors to synthesize information from the core and elective Global Studies classes, learn about career paths for Global Studies majors and minors, and have access to academic support for their class work. They will also be able to work with faculty and peer mentors on research projects for the Rushton Undergraduate Conference. Membership in the Global Studies Learning Community will enrich students' academic experience at the university, help them develop relationships with other students, faculty members, and professionals in the field, and better prepare them for graduate programs and careers. This LC is linked with GLS 2700, GLS 2800, and GLS 2900.
