First-year undergraduate award renewal

2023-24 first-year undergraduate award renewal criteria

These requirements apply to all students receiving their first award during the 2023-24 academic year. Along with these requirements, a student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 undergraduate WSU credits for both the fall and winter semesters.

Heart of Detroit Tuition Pledge

Up to the full cost of tuition and standard fees (matriculation, registration, and student service) at the in-state rate. This subtracts federal, state, and other university-based aid and can cover up to four consecutive years. 

Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards

  • File an updated FAFSA every year by March 1 for the coming academic year
  • Pass at least 30 credits per academic year

Wayne Access Tuition Pledge Program

Up to the full cost of tuition and standard fees (matriculation, registration, and student service) at the in-state rate. This subtracts federal, state, and other university-based aid and can cover up to four consecutive years.

Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards

  • File your FAFSA each year, continuing to demonstrate need with an EFC between 0-5000
  • Pass at least 30 credits per academic year
  • Meet with your academic advisor each semester to remain on track for graduation

Born to Be a Warrior Tuition Pledge
