Credit cards

Credit card payments are accepted and processed by CASHNet Smartpay. CASHNET Smartpay is a third-party payment processor operating under an agreement with Wayne State University to process electronic payments on your behalf. Please be advised that to utilize their service the third-party processor charges a convenience fee of $3 for transactions between $22 and $105, and 2.9% for all other transactions.   

Credit card payments are posted to accounts immediately. Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express cards are accepted.

Refunds on credit card payments will not be issued earlier than 30 days after payment is received.

Online (students):

• Use Student Account Dashboard in Academica - (Recommended browsers - Edge and Internet Explorer) or WSU Mobile to make a credit card payment.

Online (parents): Your student must first assign you a login id and password.

• Use Student Account Dashboard to make an ACH payment.

  Please note:

When paying online via the Student Account Dashboard, all payments will apply towards your oldest outstanding charges, regardless of the payment term selected.
