Checks

Wayne State University accepts personal checks, cashier’s checks and money orders. All checks must be issued in U.S. dollars and drawn on, or payable through, a U.S. or Canadian bank. Check payments from a home equity checking account or a Canadian checking account must be submitted by mail or in person. Personal checks are not accepted on balances in collections or written-off to bad debt.

Refunds on check payments will not be issued earlier than 30 days after payment is received.

By mail:

Make your check payable to Wayne State University. Write your nine-character student identification number on the front of the check, and mail it to:

Be sure to mail early, as post office delivery can sometimes be delayed, resulting in financial penalties if payment is received after the tuition due date.
