The PMHSC prides itself on providing a variety of opportunities for pre-med students.  Mentoring can be a valuable tool for both the mentee and mentor and is heavily encouraged.  The vicinity of the Wayne State University School of Medicine allows us access to medical student mentors who have "been through the process" and wish to support others along the way.  Medical students are eager to connect with the university's pre-med students, as are the undergraduates with the med students.  Both sides benefit professionally and personally in the process, leading to a perfect fit all around.
