Academic Experience Details

College of Education

  • Exercise Physiology Lab: Visit the home of the 10,000 Warriors Project and the Warriors Performance Lab, where individuals — including athletes from Wayne State to the Detroit Pistons —learn how to enhance their athletic performance as well as prevent injury and disease.
    • Location: College of Education, Room 55 (lower level)
  • Student Lounge: Explore the Student Lounge, which includes study areas, meditation rooms, and a co-working space
    • Location: College of Education, Room 114 (first floor)
  • Real-World Career Experience through Specialized Internships: Discover how internships can help you develop skills that put you on a path to careers in health and sports or graduate programs in medicine, occupational or physical therapy, athletic training, and more

  • Cultural Competency Challenge: Solve language and culture-related puzzles, complete tasks, or participate in activities to develop cultural competency, explore different languages and cultures, and learn about Bilingual/Bicultural, English as a Second Language, and World Languages programs.

College of Engineering

College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts

  • Student and alumni panel: Join us for a dynamic student and alumni panel showcasing the vibrant world of creative and performing arts, where current students and successful alumni share insights, experiences, and career trajectories in their chosen fields. College of Nursing

  • Wayne State’s BSN programs prepare students to care for diverse urban populations. During this session, you’ll have the opportunity to tour our simulation lab and learn more about the nursing application process and curriculum.

Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

  • Learn about select health sciences programs and careers by visiting the Applebaum Mortuary Science Building - home of our Applied Health Sciences programs, including the new Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Sciences.

  • Experience the Mike Ilitch School of Business through our interactive tour and overview presentation where you'll discover cutting-edge programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for hands-on learning, all designed to empower future business leaders.  Also, during your visit, take the opportunity to get your questions answered through an audience Q&A or during an informal chat with our academic advisors.
