Wayne State employee in London as part of Pistons fan contest
Senior Director of Facilities Operations and Management Michael Colburn is going to the Detroit Pistons basketball game on Thursday night. It's technically a home game for the Pistons, so no big deal, right?
Usually that would be the case, however he left Monday for the game because it's being played in the O2 Arena in London.
Colburn, a longtime fan, won a Palace Sports & Entertainment contest for transportation, lodging and tickets to the game against the New York Knicks for himself and his wife, Marilyn.
The game will be televised live on NBATV at 3 p.m. ET (8 p.m. in London).
Read more about Colburn's good fortune in an article from Sunday's Detroit Free Press.
