Declaration of Major — Education
Undergraduate admission to the College of Education is based on two levels:
- Level one is for freshmen and sophomore students working on general education requirements, College of Education requirements specific to each program, and academic majors and minors.
- Level two is for junior and senior students meeting the required admission standards. During level two, students complete any remaining level one coursework and the professional courses of their program.
All students intending to pursue a teaching curriculum who enter the university directly from high school or transfer from other colleges are directly admitted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions into College of Education at level one.
Those working toward a secondary or elementary school teaching certificate, those in a combined degree program, and those previously admitted in level one to the College of Education should apply for level-two admission.
