- Description: The MSW program prepares students for ethical, competent advanced level professional social work practice with a concentration on interpersonal practice or community practice and social action. The Community Practice and Social Action focuses on interventions in social agencies, institutions and neighborhoods of the community and society to enhance the quality of life. Interpersonal Practice Concentration focuses on preparation for direct social work practice in a range of social welfare settings. Students may choose a special interest area: families- at-risk, child welfare, substance abuse, schools, inpatient and outpatient mental health, health care, or aging/gerontology. 60 Credits for Core/Regular Program -2 years full-time, 4 years part-time Tuition Cost for CORE: $27,000; Internship: 900 hours 37 Credits for Advanced Standing (expected to change to 38 credits for 6/09) – 10 months full-time, 2 ½ years part-time Tuition Cost: $17,000; Internship Hours: 450 hours.
