The university offers a number of medical coverage options.  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan is a traditional "fee-for service" plan. Health Alliance Plan, Blue Care Network, and Total Health Care are the three health maintenance organizations (HMOs) available to employees. If you are interested in a preferred provider organization (PPO), DMC Care and Community Blue are your options.

 These options differ in the benefits they provide, the doctors and hospitals you can use, and the cost.
