Wayne State has something for everyone. Climb our 30-foot-high climbing wall in the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center, cheer the Warrior athletes or attend an on-campus concert, play, dance recital or art exhibit. Nearly 200 recognized student organizations sponsor everything from ethnic celebrations to political debates

- Anthony Wayne Society's Thanksgiving Day Celebration

That means the Anthony Wayne Society’s 2009 Thanksgiving Day Parade celebration is right around the corner. We invite you and the members of the Anthony Wayne Society to enjoy America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with us on Thursday, November 26, 2009. We will celebrate the 83nd annual Thanksgiving Day Parade at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast from 8 until 11 a.m. The parade step off is at Woodward and Mack Avenues, just west of our location. The parade starts at 9:20 a.m. For those of you who don’t want to battle the elements outside, we will simulcast the event in the commons area of the college on a large screen. Outside on Woodward, we again offer you grandstand seating to give you a terrific view of your favorite floats, balloons and marching bands along Woodward Avenue. Make sure you and your guests dress appropriately for the weather. You may reserve up to 8 tickets. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Wayne State University parking structure 7 is reserved for ticketed guests at $5 per vehicle. Please indicate the number of tickets and parking passes that you need when making your reservations. Parking structure 7 is located just north of Mack on John R. across from the college. To access this special parking – you must enter John R. from Warren Avenue and travel south bound on John R. to just before Mack. The structure will be on your right. What a wonderful way to begin the holiday season. We look forward to enjoying the Thanksgiving Day Parade with you and your family.
