Transfer students

Transferring to Wayne State is easy! You can be admitted to Wayne State as a transfer student if you have at least 24 transferable credits of previous college work and a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade-point average from all higher education institutions you've attended. Students who have completed an Associate Degree may be admitted with a grade point average of a 2.0 or better.

If you don’t have 24 transferable credits of previous college work, then your official high school transcript, ACT scores or GED scores will be reviewed to determine your admission.

Transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable credits must also meet the freshman admission requirements.

If you plan to apply to a professional program at Wayne State (such as nursing, social work or pharmacy and health sciences), contact these programs individually for additional admission requirements.
