Admission requirements

Due to delays in FAFSA processing, and in an effort to maintain our commitment to educational access, Wayne State has extended our enrollment deposit deadline to June 1, 2024. Please contact your admissions counselor, or our office at admissions@wayne.edu, with any questions, including those related to waiving the enrollment deposit.

Application fee waivers for first-year and transfer students

The WSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions accepts application fee waivers for first-year and transfer students. Application fee waivers are subject to the approval of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and are granted based on evidence of financial need.

  • Prior to submitting an application to WSU, counselors must sign the student's University Fee Waiver.
  • Transfer students may submit the NACAC Transfer Fee Waiver and must have attestation from a financial aid officer or staff member from their current or most recently attended college/university.
